Just a reminder that the deadline for this position is this Friday, February 12th, 2010!**
*Have you always wanted to participate in a YALSA selection committee but didn't know how?*
*Are you a member of YALSA who loves graphic novels and/or manga?*
*Are you highly organized and have good communication skills?*
Will you be attending ALA Annual in D.C. and ALA Midwinter in San Diego?*
*If you answered YES to these questions, then WE WANT YOU!*
YALSA's Great Graphic Novels for Teens Committee is looking for an Administrative Assistant to help organize the nominations the committee receives throughout the year and to help take notes during the deliberation meetings at ALA Annual 2010 and ALA Midwinter 2011.
In return, you will gain valuable experience and insight into the selection committee process, meet and network with YALSA veterans and leaders and have the opportunity to become a voting member of the committee the next year!
(Last year's administrative assistant is now a voting member of the committee this year, and members of this committee have gone on to be members of the Printz committee as well as judges for the Will Eisner Comics Industry Awards.)
Library school students are encouraged to apply.
